In 1998 we started selling a short run corrugated box maker with the goal of selling a boxmaker that could be a one-pass, in-house machine making a myriad of different syles and sizes of boxes or pads. The ABM was developed out of that need. The ABM does not need a slitter and can produce short runs of boxes, or large runs up to the 1000′s. You simply plug it in, use the touch screen to input box size and style information and feed the corrugated sheets through the machine. The system is very easy and anyone in a manufacturing facility could operate this machine.
There are over 120 ABM boxmakers in use in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, Finland, Estonia and other overseas locations. The savings generated by the ABM is such that we very rarely have any used boxmakers available. And when we do, it is often because the owner is trading up to a bigger ABM.
The ABG gluer is made to use in conjunction with the ABM. The semi-automatic gluer is a hto melt gluer and can glue almost any box with a glued joint. It has a fast set up time of 15 seconds and runs at a rate of 300-500 boxes per hour.
